Machine learning classification of power converter control mode

no code implementations19 Jan 2024 Rabah Ouali, Jean-Yves Dieulot, Pascal Yim, Xavier Guillaud, Frédéric Colas, Yang Wu, Heng Wu

To ensure the proper functioning of the current and future electrical grid, it is necessary for Transmission System Operators (TSOs) to verify that energy providers comply with the grid code and specifications provided by TSOs.

Closed-Form Solutions for Grid-Forming Converters: A Design-Oriented Study

no code implementations4 Dec 2023 Fangzhou Zhao, Tianhua Zhu, Lennart Harnefors, Bo Fan, Heng Wu, Zichao Zhou, Yin Sun, Xiongfei Wang

This paper derives closed-form solutions for grid-forming converters with power synchronization control (PSC) by subtly simplifying and factorizing the complex closed-loop models.

Efficacy Analysis of Power Swing Blocking and Out-of-Step Tripping Functions in Grid-Following VSC Systems

no code implementations9 Nov 2023 Yongxin Xiong, Heng Wu, Xiongfei Wang, Yifei Li

Power flow oscillations can occur in power systems after major disturbances such as system faults, which may result in significant power swings and even lead to system collapse.

Control of Grid-Forming VSCs: A Perspective of Adaptive Fast/Slow Internal Voltage Source

no code implementations6 Dec 2022 Heng Wu, Xiongfei Wang

Grid-forming (GFM) capability requirements are increasingly imposed on grid-connected voltage-source converters (VSCs).

Hyperspectral image reconstruction for spectral camera based on ghost imaging via sparsity constraints using V-DUnet

no code implementations28 Jun 2022 Ziyan Chen, Zhentao Liu, Chenyu Hu, Heng Wu, Jianrong Wu, Jinda Lin, Zhishen Tong, Hong Yu, Shensheng Han

When applying deep learning into GISC spectral camera, there are several challenges need to be solved: 1) how to deal with the large amount of 3D hyperspectral data, 2) how to reduce the influence caused by the uncertainty of the random reference measurements, 3) how to improve the reconstructed image quality as far as possible.

Stability and Sensitivity Analysis of Multi-Vendor, Multi-Terminal HVDC Systems

no code implementations23 Nov 2021 Yicheng Liao, Heng Wu, Xiongfei Wang, Mario Ndreko, Robert Dimitrovski, Wilhelm Winter

The stability of multi-vendor, multi-terminal HVDC systems can be analyzed in frequency domain by black-box impedance models using the generalized Nyquist stability criterion.

A Rigid Registration Method in TEVAR

no code implementations29 Apr 2021 Meng Li, Changyan Lin, Heng Wu, Jiasong Li, Hongshuai Cao

Since the mapping relationship between definitized intra-interventional X-ray and undefined pre-interventional Computed Tomography(CT) is uncertain, auxiliary positioning devices or body markers, such as medical implants, are commonly used to determine this relationship.

Anisotropic proximity-induced superconductivity and edge supercurrent in Kagome metal, K1-xV3Sb5

no code implementations10 Dec 2020 Yaojia Wang, Shuoying Yang, Pranava K. Sivakumar, Brenden R. Ortiz, Samuel M. L. Teicher, Heng Wu, Abhay K. Srivastava, Chirag Garg, Defa Liu, Stuart S. P. Parkin, Eric S. Toberer, Tyrel McQueen, Stephen D. Wilson, Mazhar N. Ali

Through magnetoresistance and current vs. phase measurements, we observed magnetic field sweeping direction dependent magnetoresistance, and an anisotropic interference pattern with a Fraunhofer pattern for in-plane magnetic field, but a suppression of critical current for out-of-plane magnetic field.
