FaceFolds: Meshed Radiance Manifolds for Efficient Volumetric Rendering of Dynamic Faces

no code implementations22 Apr 2024 Safa C. Medin, Gengyan Li, Ruofei Du, Stephan Garbin, Philip Davidson, Gregory W. Wornell, Thabo Beeler, Abhimitra Meka

3D rendering of dynamic face captures is a challenging problem, and it demands improvements on several fronts$\unicode{x2014}$photorealism, efficiency, compatibility, and configurability.

One2Avatar: Generative Implicit Head Avatar For Few-shot User Adaptation

no code implementations19 Feb 2024 Zhixuan Yu, Ziqian Bai, Abhimitra Meka, Feitong Tan, Qiangeng Xu, Rohit Pandey, Sean Fanello, Hyun Soo Park, yinda zhang

Traditional methods for constructing high-quality, personalized head avatars from monocular videos demand extensive face captures and training time, posing a significant challenge for scalability.

Drag Your GAN: Interactive Point-based Manipulation on the Generative Image Manifold

5 code implementations18 May 2023 Xingang Pan, Ayush Tewari, Thomas Leimkühler, Lingjie Liu, Abhimitra Meka, Christian Theobalt

Synthesizing visual content that meets users' needs often requires flexible and precise controllability of the pose, shape, expression, and layout of the generated objects.

EyeNeRF: A Hybrid Representation for Photorealistic Synthesis, Animation and Relighting of Human Eyes

no code implementations16 Jun 2022 Gengyan Li, Abhimitra Meka, Franziska Müller, Marcel C. Bühler, Otmar Hilliges, Thabo Beeler

The challenge of synthesizing eyes is multifold as it requires 1) appropriate representations for the various components of the eye and the periocular region for coherent viewpoint synthesis, capable of representing diffuse, refractive and highly reflective surfaces, 2) disentangling skin and eye appearance from environmental illumination such that it may be rendered under novel lighting conditions, and 3) capturing eyeball motion and the deformation of the surrounding skin to enable re-gazing.

Self-supervised Outdoor Scene Relighting

no code implementations ECCV 2020 Ye Yu, Abhimitra Meka, Mohamed Elgharib, Hans-Peter Seidel, Christian Theobalt, William A. P. Smith

Outdoor scene relighting is a challenging problem that requires good understanding of the scene geometry, illumination and albedo.

VariTex: Variational Neural Face Textures

1 code implementation ICCV 2021 Marcel C. Bühler, Abhimitra Meka, Gengyan Li, Thabo Beeler, Otmar Hilliges

In this paper, we propose VariTex - to the best of our knowledge the first method that learns a variational latent feature space of neural face textures, which allows sampling of novel identities.

Real-Time Global Illumination Decomposition of Videos

no code implementations6 Aug 2019 Abhimitra Meka, Mohammad Shafiei, Michael Zollhoefer, Christian Richardt, Christian Theobalt

We propose the first approach for the decomposition of a monocular color video into direct and indirect illumination components in real time.

LIME: Live Intrinsic Material Estimation

no code implementations CVPR 2018 Abhimitra Meka, Maxim Maximov, Michael Zollhoefer, Avishek Chatterjee, Hans-Peter Seidel, Christian Richardt, Christian Theobalt

We present the first end to end approach for real time material estimation for general object shapes with uniform material that only requires a single color image as input.
