Uncertainty Quantification of Data-Driven Output Predictors in the Output Error Setting

no code implementations23 Apr 2024 Farzan Kaviani, Ivan Markovsky, Hamid R. Ossareh

Furthermore, our results demonstrate that applying the de-noising heuristic in the output error setup does not generally lead to a better prediction accuracy as compared to using raw data directly, nor a smaller upper bound on the prediction error.

Hierarchical Fuel-Cell Airpath Control: an Efficiency-Aware MIMO Control Approach Combined with a Novel Constraint-Enforcing Reference Governor

no code implementations25 Feb 2023 Eli Bacher-Chong, Mostafa Ali Ayubirad, Zeng Qiu, Hao Wang, Alireza Goshtasbi, Hamid R. Ossareh

Compared with a single-input single-output (SISO) air-flow control approach, the proposed MIMO control approach shows up to 7. 36 percent lower hydrogen fuel consumption.

On Complexity Bounds for the Maximal Admissible Set of Linear Time-Invariant Systems

no code implementations4 Feb 2023 Hamid R. Ossareh, Ilya Kolmanovsky

Given a dynamical system with constrained outputs, the maximal admissible set (MAS) is defined as the set of all initial conditions such that the output constraints are satisfied for all time.

Statistical Modeling and Forecasting of Automatic Generation Control Signals

no code implementations15 May 2022 Sarnaduti Brahma, Hamid R. Ossareh, Mads R. Almassalkhi

The performance of frequency regulating units for automatic generation control (AGC) of power systems depends on their ability to track the AGC signal accurately.

Decoupled Reference Governors: A Constraint Management Technique for MIMO Systems

no code implementations3 Dec 2020 Yudan Liu, Joycer Osorio, Hamid R. Ossareh

We also show a quantitative comparison between DRG and the VRG to illustrate the computational advantages of DRG.
