We present Tails, an open-source deep-learning framework for the identification and localization of comets in the image data of the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF), a robotic optical time-domain survey currently in operation at the Palomar Observatory in California, USA.

The [CII] deficit, which describes the observed decrease in the ratio of [CII] 158 micron emission to continuum infrared emission in galaxies with high star formation surface densities, places a significant challenge to the interpretation of [CII] detections from across the observable universe.
